YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO MOTHERHOOD ALONE
Social Connection for Mums
Find your people
As mums, we’re often never alone yet can feel more lonely than ever.
Navigating our way through caring for a baby can be all-consuming and leave little room for getting out of the house, especially if we don’t feel at our best. As our kids grow, it can be hard to work around new schedules and routines, and soon we can find ourselves at the bottom of the list.
But, as they say, it takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a village to support a mum. We hope you’ll find yours here.

Groups for Canberra mums
Canberra has a range of already existing groups where mums can try to connect.
These include:
Playgroups ACT includes a range of playgroups including early support, community, intergenerational, language groups, disability/disability concerns and paint and play.
MEGA (Mums Exercise Group Australia) offer inclusive exercise classes, opportunities to get active with the kids in tow, and realistic workouts and health advice for today’s busy mums.
Majura Women’s Group is a well-being group for mothers with children under 5. They provide opportunities for women to create, develop skills and form new friendships. Children are cared for by childcare professionals next door.
Libraries ACT have activities including Storytime and Giggle and Wiggle
