WHO AM I NOW THAT I’M NOT WHO I USED TO BE?
Coaching for expecting & experienced mothers
Becoming a mother transforms us.
It can leave us feeling confused & lost, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Science shows that our cells and our brains are transformed to enable us to care for our children. Experience shows us that we feel emotions we never knew possible (nor were told were socially acceptable – hello rage!) and our bodies grow in ways we can no longer control.
The intensity and all encompassing nature of this transformation can leave us questioning who we are now, and who we can be now that we’re a mum.
Speaking with a coach can help to untangle and make sense of the changes you’re going through and find clarity and calm on the other side.

Why coaching?
Through one-on-one coaching, we offer you time to be seen and heard, time to practice new mindsets and behaviours that enable the changes you want to see, and unwavering support as you take the next steps on your motherhood journey.
Coaching is all about deep listening, believing in your innate strengths and potential and working with you to uncover these for yourself so you grow your confidence and ability to make the changes you truly want in life.
In a world where our experiences and feelings about motherhood are often swept under the carpet, dismissed or ignored altogether, coaching provides a safe space for you to be truly seen, heard and understood. It provides a mirror to shine your light back to you when elsewhere it can feel like it’s dimmed to the point of extinguishing.
What to expect
It is not my intention for mums to have one more thing to add to an already long to-do list.
I use the Mama Rising© principles of support - kindness, strength, value, grace, trust and connection - as a foundation for coaching. I meet you where you are and with what you need which may including exploring, imagining, redefining or recreating.
In our coaching sessions, we'll explore how you're experiencing motherhood now, how you'd like it to be, & uncover the wisdom within you to create the version of motherhood you desire.
Session types
Who is this coaching for?
Individual session
One-off sessions can be good to work through a specific challenge or goal, or to explore our coaching fit together. We’ll explore what’s happening now, what you’d like to be different, and draw on your existing strengths and values to help you create a roadmap for making the changes you desire.
Cost: $180
3 session package
The series of coaching sessions are helpful to unpack more complex challenges or questions, or if you’re a bit stuck even knowing why you’re feeling stuck. In this case, we’ll spend more time uncovering what the issues are now, what values are driving your desire to change and how you might draw on your strengths to redefine what you want this phase of your life to look like. We’ll also have time to explore what’s getting in the way of making change.
Cost: $450
12 session package
The longer series of coaching sessions we are able to take more time to set some large goals. Then, in each regular session we will set intentions and raise challenges that make-sense for you at that time and lead to you meeting those larger goals.
Cost: $1200
Pregnant mothers
If you're pregnant, coaching can help…
you feel more at ease by exploring your questions, fears, concerns and expectations for becoming a mum as well as strategies to help build your resilience for the changes that are happening;
to uncover your personal values, strengths and dreams and use those to sift through and find the information that works for you and your family;
connect you with specialist service providers who could support with different aspects of your pregnancy and motherhood.
New and experienced mothers
If you're a mum already, coaching can…
give you the space to be yourself, to be seen and heard as you navigate the often messy road of being a mum;
help to unpack and untangle the challenges you might be facing, so you can see more clearly what you want instead and then work with you to devise some simple strategies to help you get there;
accompany you on your journey, being that hand to steady you when you need, and to cheer you on when you're showing up for yourself and your family.
help you see possibilities and opportunities for change that can be near impossible to do when you're stuck in the weeds of mothering.
Hi, I’m Hayley.
I make space for mums to make sense of the many changes during motherhood and embrace their evolving selves with more self-compassion, confidence, connection and joy.
I am a mother of two young girls. Since becoming a mum I felt a loss of my old identity and a lot of confusion in who I was becoming. I was at times overwhelmed, frustrated and isolated. I didn’t feel I had enough space to understand or change these feelings.
I have had a long career in human resources and always gravitated towards diversity and inclusion, learning design, facilitation and coaching. When coaching at work I enjoyed helping others make sense of the situations they were in and develop their own paths forward.
Considering my work interests and my lived experienced as a mum I undertook training in matrescence and coaching through the International Coaching Federation Accredited Mama Rising© facilitation and coaching course. This helped me understand myself in my motherhood journey. It also gave me a methodology for a new style of coaching and facilitation where I can more effectively support mothers on their journeys.
I have now joined Mama Connect as a coach and workshop facilitator to provide mothers with the support I believe all mothers deserve.

Coaching is distinct from therapy (such as counselling and psychological services) in that it starts from the present moment and works to identify future-focused goals, identify obstacles and problematic behaviours and create action plans to achieve a desired future. A coach is not a healthcare professional, and coaching should not be seen as a substitute for mental health support if that is what is required.
